Now you know what Dynamics CRM A.K.A Dynamics 365 is let’s move to next step, let’s create an organization by following little steps. But before getting started here is what we are going to do
- Create a Dynamics CRM online Trail
- Organization Setup
So let’s
Get….
Microsoft Dynamics CRM comes in two different flavor, Online and On–Primes, we’ll be using Dynamics CRM Online, just remember one thing when you create you trail account online you’ll always get the latest version of dynamics CRM in this case it’s Dynamics 365.
You can create your online Trail account here

Now once you read the content you can move ahead with filling up the details

Before starting you need Dynamics CRM online account first which you are about to create just follow the steps and voila you got yourself a ready to use Dynamics CRM instance.

Set….
You’ve created the instance, now it is time to set up the Dynamics CRM. Before Dynamics 365 it was very straight forward approach to start with the vanilla instance, Now you have option to select which module you want to try (In Dynamics 365 you can create your own apps with limited set of entity so it’s all part of the great Dynamics CRM makeover, I’ll write a post about how to create Dynamics 365 customized apps later).
So either select a module or select everything ( we are greedy 🙂 so we select all )
Now Complete Setup , then its time for
Dynamics…..
As soon as you the setup completes you’ll directly navigate to your Dynamics 365 Application
That’s it folks you have a play ground to score some runs.
Summing Up
Now you have the licence, so let’s setup the organization. In every organization there will be certain user who belongs to certain department. When you create a free trail you get 25 Dynamics CRM licence which means you can create 25 different user. Each user can have their distinctive role. We’ll discuss about roles in some other post. Here is how you can create user and assign licence to it (another complete article will explain different ways of creating user and what user’s roles means )
Open O365 portal
- Navigate to users
- Click on plus sign
- Fill the detail
- Assign licenses
And 90 % of the job is done
Now we need to give this user a security role , the security role is to provide user the certain level of privileges in the system which he is assigned or authorized to do there are multiple type security role already built-in which are ready to use we’ll use those for now
Login with the admin credential (the first user)
When you login into the system you’ll see alert message on top saying “you need to assign security roles to new user”
Click on the alert , there you have it the user which you created earlier select he user and click manage roles , you’ll have an pop up window which contain all the security roles now pick one and save
That’s it your new user is ready to explore
